2 x Structural Engineers
Initial 12 Month Contract
Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey – 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week working from home

2 Senior/ Lead Structural Engineers are required to work for a large offshore installation contractor based in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey on a long term contract basis that will offer the ability to work on a hybrid set up of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.
As the Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for working on the design of Offshore Wind foundations. Ideally, you will have experience of Transportation & Installation projects within Oil & Gas or Offshore Wind.
Responsibilities
- As the Structural Engineer, you will perform and be Responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in company standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).
- To perform detailed design calculations in accordance with companies current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
- As the Structural Engineer, you will review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design.
- To Prepare high quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
- As the Structural Engineer, you will ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- BEng, MEng, MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering. Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
- As the Structural Engineer, you will have relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering.
- Ability to apply engineering principals to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
- Good command of written and verbal English.
Software:
- As the Structural Engineer, you will experience in MS Excel and hand calculations.
