Location: Westhill

Job role:
To provide expert Mechanical Engineering in support of design activities from concept design through to engineering release for manufacture.
Knowledge and skills:
- Proven Pressure Vessel design skills using PD5500, ASME VIII, EN 13445
- Experienced in both design by analysis and design by rule methods
- Experienced in using ANSYS Workbench
- Experienced in Pressure Vessel manufacturing techniques
- Experienced is using MathCAD and Finglow
- Experienced in using Solidworks
- Knowledge of Class Society Rules in respect to Diving, Ship’s and Lifting Appliances
- Knowledge of industry guidelines such as IMCA
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work as part of a team but also in isolation if/when required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing scope or client demands
- Natural problem-solver
- Willingness to take ownership and accountability of tasks and drive to completion
- Focused on delivering to tight deadlines and willing to go the extra mile to ensure success
- Appreciation of budget ensuring designs meet the specification cost effectively
- Willingness to travel overseas
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a Pressure Vessel engineer role
- Experience with PLM system for generating and storage of engineering packages
- Previous dive system experience would be advantageous
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
