2/2 rotations – Offshore from Great Yarmouth

A Senior Structural Engineer is required to work primarily offshore on barge campaigns to support Southern North Sea and Dutch sector assets, on a variety of brownfield modifications and integrity related repairs.

As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will be working on a 2/2 rotation with the possibility of some onshore working days.

Scope of Services:

• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you willcarry out engineering survey of structural elements identified as requiring replacement or repair;
• Provide engineering sketches for reinforcement/replacement/modification of steelwork in accordance with standards;
• Review & Approve lift plans;
• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you willcarry out structural checks of structures for lifting/scaffolding/laydown proposals;
• Report progress to barge supervisor & participate in weekly progress meetings;
• Liaise with plant inspector & review inspection findings and carry out integrity checks accordingly. Alternatively determine repair/replacement solutions where required;
• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you willcoordinate with material coordinator to order required supply of loose material for offshore fabrication;
• Raise site queries to ensure visibility by all team members of scope growth;
• Provide support as required for other disciplines, mechanical & piping, rigging, E&I, etc.
• Issue signed off sketches/drawings to Shell DCC.
• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you willcheck and approve calculations.
• Ensure scopes are executed offshore in accordance with the design drawings.
• Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
• Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on emerging issues
• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you willensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate

• As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will have experience withStructural design calculations
• Structural design and analysis reports
• Requisition (including SDRL)
• Construction workpacks
• Weight control reports

• Brownfield Project Experience desirable
• As the Senior Structural Engineer,experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential
• Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate
