Are you an experienced Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager looking for your next step-up, or a Project Manager looking for your next move? My client is one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary design and build contractors, with over 100 years of industry expertise. They specialise in supporting clients across the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, and Food & Beverage sectors.
They are looking for electrical biased Project Managers to join their team in Warrington on a permanent staff basis.
Key Responsibilities: Project Manager
- Manage detailed project programmes, Early Warnings, Variations, and forecasting.
- Oversee project portfolios, ensuring commercial performance and accurate cost forecasts.
- Communicate project risks, delays, and progress to stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with design and manufacturing teams.
- Adhere to company quality procedures and support Project Coordinators/Administrators.
- Assist with project bids, defining required resources and programmes.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met, managing formal communications, invoicing, and change management.
- Provide monthly progress reports and maintain up-to-date commercial data.
- Escalate significant commercial issues or risks.
- Fulfil CDM Principal Contractor and Designer requirements.
- Develop and manage Health and Safety documentation.
- Oversee site activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct periodic site safety inspections and escalate issues as necessary.
Key Requirements: Project Manager
- Minimum 2 years as a Project Manager in a medium/large organisation, or 4 years as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of electrical installations and control systems.
- ONC/HNC/Degree in electrical, measurement, control engineering, or related discipline.
- Project Management certification (APM or Prince 2 practitioner preferred).
- SSSTS/SMSTS and CDM principal contractor qualifications/experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and IT skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project).
