The role: Senior PES Engineer

Location: Warrington – Birchwood

Duration: 12 months+ Contract

Proposed start date: 02/09/2024

Clearance required: SC

Industry: Nuclear

Hybrid working: 2-3 days on site. 8hrs per day

Operational Technology Control Systems Engineer performing within a highly skilled capability, delivering end-to-end solutions to our clients, across multiple sectors. Warrington base office.

Role Description:

Ability to run a team of engineers, review and approve design documentation, work to deadlines

Experience of requirement capture

Development of PLC and/or SCADA system design and options from customer requirements

Development of Simulation Software to facilitate testing of PLC/SCADA application

Fully conversant with control system design lifecycle, with an appreciation of each stage

Thorough appreciation for QA and governance of PLC/SCADA design delivery

Development of high-level design documentation that demonstrates traceability back to the client requirements and facilitates delivery by a supply chain system integrator

PLC programming, and software specification and test specification production

System testing knowledge and understanding at facilitator level

Appreciation of cyber security application

Appreciation of Network Architecture and Configuration.

Essential Requirements:

Demonstrable ability to perform at degree level.

Work as part of a team.

Able to travel where, and as required.

Able to maintain UK security clearance

Desirable Requirements:

Knowledge of project lifecycle

PLC system design, coding, testing, configuration control and commissioning

SCADA system design, configuration, and commissioning

Experience of working in the Nuclear Industry

Cyber security and networking experience
