Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to work on a 12 month, outside IR35 contract, in Kingston Upon Thames. Hybrid working is available on the role ( 3/2, Office/ home split).
Role Purpose:
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the team on an exciting Offshore Wind project.
Candidates must be degree qualified and ideally chartered or working towards chartered status. They must have relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering and should have strong communication skills.
Job Role Responsibilities:
• To Perform and be Responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in company standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).
• To perform detailed design calculations in accordance with Saipem’s current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
• To Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design. To Prepare high quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
• To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Saipem specific procedures.
