Are you a Project Controls Manager looking for your next opportunity? A global leading energy organisation is looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join their team based in Kingston-Upon-Thames on a permanent staff basis.

As the Project Controls Manager, you will oversee a major new pipeline project in the North Sea. The role will be 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home per week.


Key Responsibilities: Project Controls Manager

  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of systems for monitoring and controlling all aspects of the project, including cost analysis, scheduling, and contract administration across all project locations.
  • Establish and manage project controls procedures for planning, scheduling, reporting, cost control, invoicing, risk analysis, and contract administration to ensure compliance with project and contract requirements.
  • Ensure optimal integration between scheduling, cost control, and risk management functions, ensuring that all project activities are meticulously planned and executed within scope, time, and budget.
  • Oversee the setup, coordination, and maintenance of the Document Control System and all associated information and application systems to support project execution.
  • Manage interfaces between project teams including Engineering, Installation, and Administration, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • During project execution, maintain the Project Control System, coordinate risk assessments, and ensure that project status updates align with the established baseline and control budget. Ensure schedule and cost forecasts are regularly reviewed and updated based on the latest information and trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive control and monitoring documentation, enabling informed decision-making by the Project Manager on strategy and execution.
  • Ensure all reporting and invoicing activities meet contractual requirements and are consistently updated with supporting documentation in place.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Contract Administrator with contract changes, claims, and negotiations.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Project Control Team to ensure high performance and alignment with project goals. 


Key Requirements: Project Controls Manager

  • Extensive experience with EPIC/EPCI contracts, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Proficient in project management software, particularly Primavera P6 and SAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
  • Significant previous experience in a Project Controls Manager or similar role, with a proven track record of managing complex projects in line with budget, time, and quality expectations.
  • Experience working on Offshore Installation projects is required.
