Our client are seeking talented Commissioning Engineers to join their dynamic commissioning teams in the South of England. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the project commissioning team leader during both the preparation and execution phases of commissioning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Safety First: Ensure that safety is the highest priority on the project, striving towards Zero Harm. Serve as a role model for all aspects of safety, maintaining a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.
  • Commissioning Preparation: Carry out preparation tasks including test documents, commissioning test packs, and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
  • Testing Activities: Conduct all testing activities throughout all stages of commissioning, ensuring thorough and accurate execution.
  • Documentation Contribution: Assist in the production of test documentation and support the initiation and implementation of Field Observation Reports (FOBs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
  • Third-Party Witnessing: Perform testing activities to be witnessed by third parties, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Temporary Aids Management: Manage the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids as necessary.
  • Data Recording: Contribute to the recording of supporting data in accordance with test requirements, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively drive continuous improvement within the commissioning process and work towards meeting schedule deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in commissioning within a similar industry, preferably in nuclear or high-risk environments.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
