Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of capital infrastructure? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our Project Manager in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Role Overview:
As the APM, you will play a vital role in the management and coordination of our infrastructure initiatives. You will assist in strategic planning, risk management, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in contract management and administration.
- Monitor financial performance and control project expenditures against budgets.
- Assist in project assurance and gateway reviews to evaluate progress and compliance.
- Maintain productive relationships with the supply chain and monitor contractual obligations.
- Review and critique project duration and cost estimates, identifying critical dates.
- Prepare financial reports and analyse cost trends to inform stakeholders.
- Assess proposed changes and their impacts on project delivery.
Essential Skills:
- Awareness of NEC contracts.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience.
- Relevant engineering or project management qualifications.
Desirable Skills:
- NEC PM accreditation.
- Membership in a relevant professional body.
- Background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering.
- Degree-level education.
- APM PMQ or higher qualification
