Contract: Part-time, ad hoc basis
Location: Remote and/or Client’s Manchester Office (Tue/Wed/Thu)

Our Client has a requirement for a Civil & Structural Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis, both remotely and from their Denton office, as needed.
Role Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert civil and structural engineering services for the design and development of chemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilities. The role involves flexibility, offering a part-time, ad hoc schedule that includes both remote work and in-office collaboration.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Design & Specification: Define and specify civil and structural elements for industrial facility designs.
- Scope Development: Develop scopes of work, tender packs, schemes, drawings, and schedules.
- Site Surveys & Analysis: Conduct site surveys, evaluate returned bids, organize third-party surveys, and make informed recommendations.
- Cross-discipline Collaboration: Work closely with process, piping, EC&I, and project management teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Client & Team Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills in working with clients and internal teams.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in civil and structural engineering within industrial sectors.
- Competencies: Proficiency in scope development, third-party surveys, bid analysis, and report contributions.
- Multi-project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from large builds to repair projects.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for client meetings and site surveys across the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Driving License: Required.
- Desirable: Certification in a recognized safety passport scheme.
