Commissioning Engineer (EC&I)
Contract 12 Months +
Location: Sellafield Site
IR35: Inside
Our Client has a requirement for a Commissioning Engineer (EC&I), who will be required to work on a contract basis at the Sellafield Site.
Role Purpose:
To lead commissioning activities for CE&I systems on a high-profile nuclear project, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all stages of the commissioning process.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Witness vendor testing at works tests.
- Prepare plant commissioning test specifications.
- Conduct early inspections of site installations to facilitate system handovers.
- Execute testing activities during the IPC commissioning phase.
- Identify faults and propose effective solutions.
- Organize and manage Commissioning Technicians and support resources.
- Initiate and implement FOBs.
- Validate Working Level Instructions.
- Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Significant experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning.
- Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in an Engineering-related subject.
- Proven track record in nuclear commissioning.
- Project management knowledge (APM membership preferred).
- Proficiency in Excel for calculation production.
- Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS or SSSTS, and CSCS/ECS supervisory card relevant to the trade.
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
