Our client is looking to recruit Senior and Principal Civil/Structural Engineer's for an Outside IR35 contract.
Civil/Structural Engineer (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Clearance: DV clearance preferred, SC clearance considered, but will need to be open/eligible to obtaining DV
Start Date: January
Travel Requirements: Approx. 10 trips to Reading Area per year (expenses for travel and accommodation are not covered)
Candidates need to be Sole British National.
Introduction: Our client is currently seeking to hire 2-3 experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to work on a major project. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile, critical infrastructure project in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role offers the flexibility of working remotely, where some site visits will be required. The position is outside IR35, offering the potential for a more flexible working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Provide high-level civil/structural engineering expertise, particularly focusing on design, analysis, and implementation of structural and civil engineering solutions for critical facilities.
- Technical Leadership: Take responsibility for the technical direction of engineering designs and ensure they meet the required safety, security, and quality standards. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget. Ensure that all engineering processes align with the client’s strict regulations and industry best practices.
- Client Liaison: Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and approve detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Civil/Structural Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience in civil/structural engineering, particularly within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, or critical infrastructure.
- Design Experience: Strong background in structural design, analysis, and the application of relevant software tools.
- Project Experience: Proven experience in leading or working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, ideally with experience in the nuclear, defence, or high-security sectors.
