Our Client has a requirement for a Principal Process Engineer who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington
Role Purpose
The Principal Engineer – Process will provide leadership in delivering engineering and technical activities by applying process expertise, domain knowledge, and experience. The role encompasses involvement in the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, and includes studies, design reviews, and plant modifications.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Manage multi-discipline teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering work aligned with customer scope.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster business development and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure technical outputs meet agreed scopes and project requirements.
- Uphold the highest health, safety, and environmental standards across engineering teams.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering skill development to meet future workload demands.
- Plan and execute audits and reviews to enhance learning and ensure compliance with standards.
- Promote engineering best practices and drive cultural improvements within the team.
- Identify and support business development opportunities and new work streams.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications
Essential:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline with significant demonstrable experience.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Proven experience in leading teams to deliver analysis activities across varied projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across disciplines.
- Experience managing complex and diverse tasks.
Desirable:
- Membership in a relevant professional institute or eligibility for Engineering Council registration.
- Experience managing projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
- Extensive experience in commercial or defense projects.
