Role
Our Client has a requirement for a Procurement Author, who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Glasgow.
Role Purpose:
-
The Procurement Scope Author will work within the Major Programme & Project Delivery (MPP) team, which is responsible for delivering infrastructure capital projects. MPP provides SME input to early project development and advises on all infrastructure aspects of hybrid and nuclear projects, including nuclear-regulated environments. The role involves collaborating with specialists in engineering, quality, information management, and project controls.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of NEC4 contract scope documentation
- Coordinate and collate input from various specialists in the client team, including engineering, quality, information management, and project controls.
- Support procurement events from identifying project needs through to contract award.
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Commercial Departments to ensure that scope documentation aligns with the project’s goals
- Review supplier proposals to ensure they meet the required scope.
- Occasional site visits as required for specific tasks.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related role with regular involvement in contract management (pre- or post-contract).
- Experience preparing or implementing NEC4 contracts, with strong knowledge of how scope packages are constructed.
- Strong communication skills (written and face-to-face).
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to present scope information in a clear and concise manner.
- Organized approach to ensure deadlines are established, monitored, and achieved across the team contributing to scope documents.
