Are you a talented Civil Engineer looking to advance your career in one of the world’s leading engineering professional consulting firms? My client has a dynamic opportunity for a Site Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team in the Northwest Region of Ireland.
In this site-based role, the Site Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer will oversee the supervision, administration, monitoring, and inspection of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation works, as well as contribute to the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities: Site Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer
- Provide site-based supervision for roadworks and related civil infrastructure projects.
- Assist Resident Engineering staff in day-to-day activities on-site.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities, including pavements, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting, safety barriers, and bridgeworks.
- Administer contracts using Public Works forms where required.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Adhere to and promote health and safety regulations and best practices.
Key Requirements: Site Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the design, repair, or construction of civil infrastructure projects, particularly roads and structures.
- Familiarity with structure inspections and Public Works contracts is advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Valid EU/EEA driver’s license (essential due to the nature of the role).

- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive, flexible, and motivated approach to work.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
