Our client are looking for skilled Electrical Engineers experienced Protection & Control / Secondary design to provide support to projects across different markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors. The role can be fully remote but there will be a need for travel for relevant meetings / site visits etc.

The role requires P&C engineering knowledge and skills, with proven experience in the design and specification of equipment used in electrical networks and renewable generation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in working with transmission voltages up to 400kV.


• Bachelor’s Degree / master’s in electrical engineering or HNC/ HND qualifications
• Knowledge of transmission HV design process and related project experience.
• Extensive experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV).
• Experience designing the HV infrastructure across the full project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design
• Undertake site visits / non-intrusive surveys as required as part of the design activities or as part of site support.
• Ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project.
• Identification, assessment, and adoption of the best technical solution.
• Risk and CDM management.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects
