About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a globally renowned engineering and project management consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their Complex Infrastructure team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, including rail, highways, utilities, energy, and aviation.
The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the Cost Management team, delivering outstanding service to clients while driving innovation and technical excellence. The role offers flexible working arrangements, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
- Lead the cost management of multiple infrastructure commissions, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to monitor and report on project performance.
- Deliver robust cost planning and control in accordance with industry benchmarks and best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of digital cost management tools, including Power BI, PRISM, and Oracle.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored cost management strategies.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Provide expert advice on contract forms, including NEC and FIDIC, and offer guidance on cost-effective design solutions.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Contribute to the growth and mentoring of the Cost Management team, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
- Help attract and recruit high-calibre individuals to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Contribution:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Support the Head of Cost Management in aligning with the Complex Infrastructure business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance standards and procedures.
