The Opportunity
A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join on a 3-month contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong infrastructure background who can confidently manage small to medium-sized tenders, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective bid submissions.
️ Role Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating process for small/medium infrastructure bids.
- Analyse drawings and specifications to create accurate costing sheets.
- Ensure full compliance with pre-construction processes and company procedures.
- Review and interpret tender documents and submission requirements.
- Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to define methods, outputs, and plant selections.
- Review and analyse subcontractor submissions in detail.
✅ What You’ll Need
- Experience in estimating for infrastructure projects with a main contractor.
- Background in estimating, commercial, or operational roles.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word).
- Experience with Candy Estimating Software (preferred but not essential).
- Tunnel project or Highways project experience preffered.
- Working towards or holding a professional membership (ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB) is a bonus.
