QC Inspectors – Nuclear Project | Bridgewater, Somerset | Long-Term Contract Inside IR35
We’re currently seeking two experienced QC Inspectors to support a major long-term nuclear project in Bridgewater, Somerset, on behalf of our client. This is a 12-month rolling contract, with work expected to extend through to 2027/2028, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to be part of a high-profile UK infrastructure project.

Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for delivering independent QC and weld inspection services across a broad scope of nuclear mechanical disciplines. Work will take place at vendor premises, potential suppliers, and other project-related sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections and quality control checks on fabricated and manufactured components.

Review and verify key quality documentation: ITPs, QPs, WPS, NDE procedures, LTQRs, etc.

Support stakeholder engagement and uphold strong professional relationships.

Ensure alignment with nuclear codes, conventional standards, and project specifications.
✅ Requirements:
-
Minimum 8 years’ experience in inspection of welded fabrications/manufactured equipment in nuclear or high-hazard sectors.

Strong understanding of UK inspection standards, preferably in nuclear or transferable high-risk industries.

Familiar with standards including EN13445, EN13480, PD5500, ASME VIII, and related materials, welding, and NDE procedures.

CSWIP 3.1 or above is essential.

Ultrasonic Testing certification and practical experience required.

Solid background in Materials, Welding, and NDT techniques and processes.

Excellent stakeholder management, technical reporting, and communication skills.
