Christmas Charity Donations 2013
01 Dec 2015
Following the great response from last years Christmas charity donations First Recruitment decided to do the same again this year. Rather than the usual pocket diary and calendar, First Recruitment made donations to a number of charities that are supported by our key clients.
For example, Cavendish Nuclear chose to donate the money to The Christie Charity and Clare Strapps, their Resource Co-ordinator commented,
“We would like to thank First Recruitment very much for the donation to a cause that is close to our hearts. The money will be put into a Hope Tribute Fund we set up earlier this year in Memory of a very close friend and colleague who sadly passed away from cancer. The donation will help towards us reaching our target of raising £15,000 for The Christie Charity in memory of our colleague to be able to get her name on the tree of hope at The Christie hospital. We plan to organise many charity days and events over the next couple of years to raise money for this. Once again thank you very much.”
Other charities we’ve been able to support include Macmillan Cancer Support, The Wellspring and Woking Hospice.
John Urpi our CEO commented,
“We feel making charity donations make our Christmas gifts much more meaningful. By donating to the charities chosen by our clients we are able to help a broad range and size of good causes right across the country.
A number of our clients chose to send our donation to charities or Trusts that have directly supported their staff, family or friends and this has made our gifts all the more special.”
