First Recruitment Group join forces with Talascend

25 Oct 2018

This week we are delighted to announce that recruitment agency Talascend has joined forces with First Recruitment Group.

The decision was made after in-depth discussions between our CEO, John Urpi, and Talascend’s Managing Director, Andy Rowlands, who considered the natural alignment of both businesses in terms of capabilities, culture and values.

Both our businesses will standardise best practice, learn from each other and take forward the best processes and systems.

Both businesses to retain their brand and clients

As part of First Recruitment Group Talascend will maintain its identity and brand, retaining their clients within the Rail, Civil Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and Power industries. First Recruitment Group will also retain their identity and brand continuing to engage with their clients in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, Technology, Water, Construction, Aerospace & Defence, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Pharma and Non-Technical delivery sectors.

Shared values and a strong sustainable path for the future

CEO, John, commented, “This is an opportunity for each of the businesses to contribute to our combined growth plans, cross-selling and developing great client and candidate relationships. I see many similarities between our two companies and importantly they share the same values of excellence, passion, accountability and integrity.”

Talascend’s Managing Director, Andy, added, “After completing the MBO of the Talascend International business early last year we have been looking for an opportunity to grow within our market and create a strong sustainable path for the future. Joining with First Recruitment Group is the ideal platform to ensure that growth.”

Expanded global presence

Internationally the group now has a combined in-country presence in the UK, Albania, Ghana, Kenya, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, India and Abu Dhabi.
